SUPW
Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) is a "purposive productive work and services related to the needs of the child and the community, which will be proved meaningful to the learner. Such work must not be performed mechanically but must include planning, analysis and detailed preparation, at every stage so that it is educational. The Kothari Commission (1964–1966) advanced this concept by recommending the inclusion of "job experience" in education.
Govt. College of Teacher Education has organised a SUPW workshop On 24th January 2023, at 2.15 PM, as part of the B.Ed. curriculum. It is both for the students' work production and their intellectual growth
The first session deals with the process of lotion, detergent and washing powder preparation.
They explained the ingredients needed for each of the product and quantity also. Each step for the preparation of each one of the product was well explained and prepared with the involvement of the students also. That was nice experience and we were enjoyed a lot.
