COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM



As part of the B.Ed. Curriculum, on 14th March 2023, Tuesday, we a group of 11 students went to Govern- -ment Model Lower Primary school, Thycaud for our Social Service Programme(community Programme). The motive of this programme was to provide coavice in the form of support and assistance towards a particular disadvantaged Group. Here, we select a nearby school of our college for the community service Programme.

We reached the school at 3:00 pm and we met the Head teacher. She alloted us the space. for our programme. It was the vegetable Garden where she alloted us for the Programme. it contains all types of vegetables and medicinal Plants useful for students and teachers consumption, in contrast to a flower garden that exists foot aesthetic popo- ses. it includes chillies, Tomatoes,Bainjats, curry leaves, Jamarinds, Herbs, Beans, Bitter Gawid, and so on... The Plants were Planted in way such that each Plant gets sufficient sunlight and water. The whole vegetable Patch is surrounded by Sprink Lea Parigation system. Here, the school administration makes sure that water Helps to maintain the cell walls. turgidity of

The Lunch for this school is prepared with vegetables made the from this vegetable garden itself. The Benefits of such a system is that the ecological balgame vegetables poromok and consegwe biodiversity. The non-usage of man-made fertilisers, pesticides; produce organic vegetables and fruits for the consumption of the School students.

In short, organic food is better for the environment organic foods promote healthier and more sustainable use of natural resources.
