Women Commission organised premarital counselling in collaboration with the GCTE. Our college was formally chosen by the government to launch this programme. The president's speech was delivered by Dr. V K Santhosh Kumar. The convenor of the women's cell of the GCTE, Sheena ma'am, gives the opening remarks. Advocate P. Sathidevi, chair of the Kerala State Women Commission, officially launched the programme. Following the official inauguration, Ashwathi F.S., the assistant centre manager and counsellor at the carrier development centre in neyyattinkara, gave a thorough lesson. She explained to us how to build positive relationships through exercises in empathy, assertive communication, and other skills. Students were urged to discuss toxic relationships and their personal experiences.
THREE TYPES OF RELATIONSHIP
Healthy relationships: involve honesty, trust, respect and open communication between partners and they take effort and compromise from both people. There is no imbalance of power. Partners respect each other's independence, can make their own decisions without fear of retribution or retaliation, and share decisions.
Unhealthy Relationships: Healthy relationships make you feel good about yourself — unhealthy relationships don't. Lying, cheating, jealousy, and disrespect are signs of an unhealthy relationship. So is trying to control a partner. That includes: keeping track of where they are and who they hang out with.
Toxic Relationship: A toxic relationship is one that makes you feel unsupported, misunderstood, demeaned, or attacked. A relationship is toxic when your well-being is threatened in some way—emotionally, psychologically, and even physically.
Tips for a Healthy Relationship :
1. Acceptance not avoidances.
2.Adaptation not adjustment.
3.Sympathy not empathy.
