INAUGURATION OF GUIDANCE CELL AND TALK ON STRESS MANAGEMENT - 9 December, 2022

The Guidance Cell of Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram, was inaugurated on December 9, 2022, by the Principal Dr. 

The Principal, Dr. V K Santhosh Kumar Sir, formally inaugurated the Government College of Teacher Education's Guidance Cell on December 9, 2022, in the General Hall.  The programme began with the prayer song by Chinju S, I B.Ed student.Jessy M delivered the welcome speech. Mr. Jithin Prem, a psychology apprentice of GCTE's Jeevani Cell, he performed as the resource person of the day. All the teachers and student teachers, along with the vice principal, Dr. Joly S, Mrs. Asha Krishnan, the convenor of the guidance cell, were present for the programme.

The Presidential address was delivered by the college Principal V.K Santhosh Kumar sir . In his talk, he riminisced the time when he was a small boy studying in a government school. He, through his own experience, asserted the importance of guidance in one's life. Dr. Joly S, the Vice Principal, then delivered her felicitation and talked on the need to reduce stress as much as we can, so that one could lead a calm and peaceful life.

TALK ON STRESS MANAGEMENT 

Mr. Jithin Prem, the resource person of the day,made a session on "Stess Management". He talked about the various reasons for stress and how to manage it. In the course of his presentation, he covered topics like positive and negative stress, and also post traumatic stress. It was a highly engaging and interactive session. It concluded with him offering various strategies for stress management and answering the questions of the audience.

The session came to an end with the vote of thanks rendered by Keerthana S S, I B.Ed student, and Mrs. Asha Krishnan, the Convenor of Guidance Cell.
