B.Ed Programme Orientation 2022-24
On 27th October 2022, inaugration of 2022-24 B. Ed Batch Orientation was conducted. The program was inaugrated by Dr. Jayaprakash R.K., Director, SCERT, Kerala.
The program started at 10.15 am with the prayer by
Ms. Parvathy S, First B.Ed Malayalam. The welcome speech was given by Dr. Jayakrishna K (Academic
Co-ordinator-B.Ed). The presidential address was given by our Respected Principal Dr. V. K. Santhosh Kumar. Later the program was inaugrated by the chief guest
Dr. Jayaprakash R. K, Director, SCERT, Kerala .The felicitation was given by Dr. Joly S. (Vice-principal, GCTE) and Sri Rahul V. R. ( IQAC Coordinator). The program ended at 11.45pm with the vote of thanks by Ms. Chinju. S. Nair ( First B. Ed Hindi).
After the inaugration, the official start of 9 sessions of the orientation was started. The orientation class is conducted for two days. The first day include 4 sessions and second day with five sessions.
At 11. 45 pm, Session-1 started on the topic "Teacher Preparedness in Psychological perspective" by
Sri Rahul V. R, Assistant Professor, GCTE. The welcome speech was given by Ms. Ancila Merlin M G(First B. Ed Social science). Later the session, the reflection and vote of thanks was given by Ms. Keerthana Anil (First B. Ed Mathematics).
At 1. 30pm, Session-2 started on the topic "Pedagogy and Teacher" by Smt. Sheena Elizabeth Varghese, Assistant Professor, GCTE. The welcome speech was given by
Ms. Mariya George (First B. Ed Social science). Later the session, the reflection and vote of thanks was given by Ms. Bhagya Murali (First B. Ed English).
At 2.45 pm, Session-3 started on the topic "Teacher Commitment" by Dr. Anju L., Associate Professor, GCTE. The welcome speech was given by Ms. Jenifa(First B. Ed Tamil). Later the session, the reflection and vote of thanks was given by Ms. Sruthi G. S. (First B. Ed Commerce).
At 3.45 pm, Session-4 started on the topic "Reflective Practices in Teacher Education Program" by
Smt. Shiba T.C., Assistant Professor, GCTE. The welcome speech was given by Ms. Gayathri Mahima C. S.(First
B. Ed Hindi). Later the session, the reflection and vote of thanks was given by Ms. Devika P. S.(First B. Ed Sanskrit).
By the session-4, the day-1 orientation programme came to an end. As attending these sessions, more knowledgeful and potential information were conveyed. The sessions was interactive and clarification of many doubts were done. As the end of day-1, we students are looking forward for day-2 sessions.

The second day session of the B.Ed orientation programe was started at 10.15 am with the presentation of Dr Joly S Asst professor, department of malayalam on the topic
"communication and teacher"
Welcome speech was delivered by Ms Parvathy S 1st B.Ed student.The session ended at 11.15am with the reflection and vote of thanks by the 1st B.Ed student Ms Sibana S
The second session started at 11.15am with the presentation by Dr Jayakrishna,Asst. Professor, department of Hindi,on the topic"Educational Technology in Teacher Education".This session ended at 11.45am with the vote of thanks by 1st B Ed student Ms Veena.
Third session started at 11.45am welcome speech was delivered by Ms Shruthi S.The presentation was on the topic"Classroom management practices in Teacher Education"by Dr Rajasree Asst, professor, department of Natural Science.This session concluded at 12.30 pm. The next session started at 1.30 pm .The presentation was delivered by Sri Rosh Kumar Asst,professor, department of Physical Education . On the topic of "Physical and Health Education in Teacher Education program The welcome speech was done by 1st B.Ed student Ms Rakendu R .The session ended at 2.15pm with the vote of thanks by 1st B.Ed student Ms Jessy M.
The fifth session was on the topic"Teacher competencies and Skills" Dr.Issac Paul ,Asst, Professor, department of Commerce presented the after the welcome speech by the first B.Ed student Mr Amal Muhammad K. This session ended the vote of thanks by 1st B.ed student Mr Ajmal Roshan E .
The final session started at 3.30pm ended at 4.30 pmDr. Jayakrishna Ma'am, Asst. Professor, Department of Hindi, briefly explained the basics about the course.The presentation was highly beneficial for our course preparation. It was informative, effective, and interactive. Ma'am developed a rapport with us and responded to individual needs.This session also made us more active and ended with the reflection and vote of thanks by 1st B. Ed student Ms. Bushra Ansari.
Overall, this orientation met my expectations and provide me with information I can use.
